Jane will talk briefly about how she became a civil engineer but will focus the main part of her talk on her favourite project, the construction of the IJmond Sea Lock in the Netherlands (at the entrance to the North Sea Canal), which is the biggest sea lock in the world and was opened in 2022. The talk will be approx. 45 mins and will consist of slides and a QA session as she goes along.
